Common problems

Practical help when technology gets in the way.

What is included

  • Suitability checked before booking
  • Availability and cost agreed first
  • Remote-access steps explained
  • Methodical troubleshooting
  • Plain-English explanation
  • Next steps if an on-site visit is needed

A practical option when the device is online.

A remote session can avoid a visit for software and settings problems. It is less suitable for physical faults, failed hardware or an internet connection that is not working.

Tell Stuart what is affected, when it started and any error message. You do not need to diagnose the problem yourself.

What can be investigated remotely?

Remote support can suit Windows settings, software errors, email, Outlook, OneDrive, printer settings and account problems. Your device normally needs to start and have a working internet connection. Describe the symptoms first so Stuart can check whether remote help is appropriate.

How a remote appointment works

Start with an enquiry to hello@keelfort.co.uk. Agree the scope, availability and expected cost before a session is arranged. Any required remote-access steps are explained as part of the appointment. Keep passwords and verification codes out of your initial enquiry.

Before you book

Support costs, scope & appointments.

Discuss your problem
How much is remote IT support?

Remote support costs £30 for the first 45 minutes, then £15 per additional 30 minutes. These are guide prices for standard support. Complex work and any separate licences or subscriptions are discussed before work starts.

Can you help outside Belfast?

Yes. Remote support is available across Northern Ireland for suitable problems. On-site appointments are available in Belfast, with surrounding areas considered by arrangement.

What if my computer will not turn on or connect to the internet?

A remote session may not be possible. Explain what happens when you turn the device on so Stuart can advise whether an on-site assessment or specialist repair is more suitable.

Is remote support available immediately or 24/7?

Appointments depend on availability. Keelfort does not offer guaranteed immediate or 24/7 support; confirm a suitable time before expecting a session.
