IT Support Belfast — Remote & On-Site Help

Keelfort IT provides practical IT support for Belfast small businesses, sole traders and home users. Stuart McIntosh helps with PCs, laptops, email, Microsoft 365, Wi-Fi and everyday technical problems. Start with a description of the issue; agree the approach, appointment and expected cost before work begins.

Common problems

Computer and IT problems Keelfort can help with

What is included

What to expect from your support appointment

  • A short assessment before work begins
  • Remote or on-site recommendation
  • Expected cost agreed in advance
  • Methodical diagnosis and troubleshooting
  • Clear explanation of the outcome
  • Security and prevention advice where useful

Computer and laptop support for home and work

A slow computer, an Outlook error or a missing printer can interrupt the whole working day. Explain what changed, what you can still do and whether anyone else is affected. You do not need to identify the fault yourself. Stuart checks likely causes before recommending software changes, replacement equipment or specialist help.

Computer support includes Windows settings, applications, email, printers and new-device setup. Broken screens, failed storage and specialist data recovery need separate assessment. If the problem falls outside Keelfort’s scope, that will be explained before work is agreed.

One device or the whole business?

A printer problem on one laptop needs a different starting point from an office-wide loss of connectivity. Tell Stuart how many devices or users are affected and what work has stopped. This helps establish the scope and whether an existing provider needs to be involved.

Clear costs and support boundaries

Standard remote support starts at £30 for 45 minutes; Belfast visits start at £45 for the first hour. Parts, licences, complex work and travel outside Belfast are separate. A description of the fault helps Stuart confirm the applicable rate and expected cost before you book.

On-site IT support in Belfast or a remote appointment?

When a visit makes sense

A physical connection fault, a computer that will not start or Wi-Fi dead spots may need checks at your home or business premises. Belfast visits are by appointment. Include your postcode; surrounding areas and any travel costs are confirmed individually.

Tell Stuart about building access, parking restrictions and any equipment that must stay running. Business network changes need an agreed time and permission from the person responsible for the systems.

When remote support may suit

Software, Outlook, account and settings problems may be investigated without a visit. The device normally needs to start and connect to the internet. Remote support is available across Northern Ireland when the problem is suitable.

Availability is confirmed before booking. Keelfort does not promise immediate call-outs, 24/7 cover or a guaranteed fix. See how remote support works.

Speak directly to Stuart McIntosh

Stuart is the owner of Keelfort IT and your contact for assessment, booking and support. You can meet the owner and check the published guide prices before making an enquiry.

What to include in your enquiry

Do not send passwords, recovery codes or customer files. Ask Stuart about your IT problem; the next step and expected cost are agreed before work starts.

Before we start

Arrange help for the actual fault

When remote help fits

A working computer and internet connection may allow software, email and settings to be checked without a visit.

When a visit helps

Physical connections, equipment that will not start and coverage problems may need a Belfast appointment.

Outside the standard scope

Parts, licences, specialist hardware repairs and failed-drive recovery are separate. A support appointment does not guarantee a fix.

What to send with your enquiry

Include your postcode, device, exact error and what changed. Say whether one person or several are affected.

Stuart reviews the description, checks suitability and availability, then agrees the scope and expected cost before work. Ask about this service or review the published prices.
